Lane swimming and general swimming remain.

Full opening hours will resume at our lido from Saturday 22nd May! … from when the pool will be open from 9.30 am until 6.00 pm each day, with early swims from 7.30am on Wednesdays and Sundays. 

Howeverpre-booking timed slots will still apply and you will continue to need to book your swim slot via the Vivacity website.

Given that the lido has been partially open since late March, there will be no official “opening” the Saturday – which will not, therefore, offer the free entry that has accompanied openings in previous years.

All areas except the sun terrace accessible for disabled members. Steps into pool or Hoist available. Disable toilets and changing wet room. Opened by Rada key, From Duty manager if necessary.

The Peterborough City Lido complex offers three heated pools, a 50-metre main pool, a teaching pool for children and a paddling pool for toddlers. There are three sunbathing terraces. Deck chairs are available for hire. A large grassed play area and a cafe serving hot and cold food, drinks, snacks and ice creams.

Well qualified and friendly Lifeguards are present at all opening times. There are new changing cubicles, for single swimmers, family groups or disabled swimmers, new colourful, secure lockers, modern hot showers and toilets all are divided into Ladies and Gents areas as in the original design. We ask guests, more use to Continental mixed changing areas, to respect this arrangement.

For Visitor Safety.

During periods of hot weather please be aware that there may be a queue to gain admission. Remember to add a hat or sunshade and drinking water to your swimming kit.

Would Visitors please help to keep all areas clean and safe by disposing of all your rubbish in the bins provided.

If there are areas that cause you concern please report this to the reception staff so it can be dealt with as promptly as possible.

Please don’t be abusive to the pool staff this will not be tolerated. They will always do their best to be helpful.  

Children should be discouraged from running along the poolside.

Read the poolside notices in regard to safe diving and be aware of other swimmers.

Main Pool

  • Children using the pool under the age of eight must be accompanied and supervised by a parent/guardian or a suitable, responsible adult who is at least 18 years old. Please remember the Lifeguards are there to watch over the safety of all swimmers, they are not Childminders.
  • Ratio’s of children under 8 years old is 1 adult to 2 children1 
  • Children aged 3 and under, without flotation jacket or armbands must be accompanied by an adult, -1 adult to 1 child.  

Teaching Pool
