THE OPENING WEEKEND
The rising sun reflecting orange/red rays over the calm water of the lido. The queues formed outside the gates in the lido colourful gardens. Where the daffodils were blooming in abundance. The much anticipated opening morning of the Peterborough Lido had arrived.

The early start to the season was enjoyed by hundreds of swimmers who appreciated the unique special weekend entrance cost of 90p to celebrate the lidos 90 years. None were deterred by the blustery weather and the water temperature affected by the previous week unseasonable cold weather.

The café was open from the time the first swimmers were in the water providing hot and cold drinks. This year showcasing a brand new food offering. Though the old burger and chips menu will still be available. Click the link below to see the Lido’s cafe opening hours and new food menu.
