Sad Farewells

Sadly at the end of this 2019 Summer Lido season we will be saying good bye to Joshua Aylett, or Josh as we all know him, as he leaves Vivacity to take up his University placement as a contracting Civil Engineer during his final year of study for a BEng Civil Engineering degree.

Josh, a local lad, has been on the Peterborough Swimming pools scene for a good few years now A former member of COPS, the City of Peterborough Swimming club he became a competitive swimmer up to National level, as a long distance freestyle swimmer as well as a 200 metre Butterfly swimmer. In 2014 at the age of 17 he qualified as a Lifeguard and in 2015 as a Swim teacher. Working for Vivacity during his University vacations, first at Vivacity Premier Fitness, then for the summer seasons of 2017 and 2018 at the Lido as a Supervisor. In 2019 he was promoted to the post the Lido’s Duty Manager.

Josh Aylett

Josh, like many other of the Millennials generation, has a love of travel and has divided his vacation time from Coventry University and work at Vivacity to find time to travel through Asia and Australia.

Although we will miss his cheery face around the Lido we all wish Josh good luck in his future career and travels. We also hope we will see him at the Lido sometime in future years.
