Last Friday evening was the last of the Lido Summer Midnight swims. Despite the summers unsettled weather patterns, around 80 to 90 people came along to enjoyed the opportunity to swim in the moonlight. The night was cool, but the warm Lido waters reverberated to the sound of people, young and old, having such a great time. The skies, not completely clear of cloud all night, cleared enough to give us a magical moonlit swim. The annual Perseid meteor shower was at its height, but the low fast moving clouds made it impossible to spot those illusive shooting stars.
