The second AGM of the Peterborough Lido Friends Group was held on March 6th 2019 in the conference/meeting room of the Key Theatre. The meeting was well attended with 20 plus ‘Friends’ in attendance, as well as members from Vivacity, The evening was a definite contrast from the 2018s snowy cold night.
The meeting began on time with a welcome from the Chair and apologies for absence. The minutes from the 2018 AGM were passed and signed off. The meeting continued following the published agenda with a report from the Chair a followed by the Treasures report.
Election of Officers and voting of Committee members followed. Three Committee members had retired and thee new members were voted in to replace them.
Later there was an in depth report from Vivacity’s Steven Luker on the successful summer season. He gave some tantalising glimpse into what we can expect in the coming season. A Solstice swim, Members pre opening and post closing swim and an extra early morning swim are definitely on the program, with a few midnight swims a possibility. As always the lifeguard cover is major consideration in the planning process. A fuller program will be available later when it’s finalised.
A discussion followed about the possibility of and the design of merchandising for the Lido. After the floor was thrown open to any other business the meeting closed.
A selection of appetising refreshments was provided by Vivacity and a chance to chat with other members brought to close a succesful evening.
Our thanks go to Vivacity for providing the venue and refreshments for the evening.
The full version of the 2019 Minutes will be available after the next AGM in 2020.
